DESCRIPTION:
"Final volume for the reincarnation shojo manga" according to Johanna Draper Carlson. Author Chika Shiomi makes points about the nature of a person’s essential character and how past influences must be transcended for someone to make their own choices.Events here begin having potentially deadly results. Since the courtesan Yumurasaki is suffering a fatal wasting disease in the past, her modern reincarnation Yukari begins collapsing as well. That puts the conflict between his friends Mahoro and Satomi in more immediate focus; they’re versions of Yumurasaki’s most powerful client and her bodyguard from back then, and they dislike each other as a resu. Jude said Great ending. ~Great ending Jude ~4/5I would definitely have loved more of this series, but it still ended very well.We finally figure out what really happened in their past lives, and we see how it’s culminating in the present. It comes to a head, how their past selves are taking over their present. It takes a different turn than I expected, for one character in particular. But it gives their pasts a final end, a way to move on in the present.I really just wanted Yukari and Mahoro to have a happy ending, and I’m really happy with how it happened. It was sweet and not too much, not too sappy, not rushe. /5I would definitely have loved more of this series, but it still ended very well.We finally figure out what really happened in their past lives, and we see how it’s culminating in the present. As one would expect, this volume presents us with a wonderful ending to this fabulous story. All the loose ends were wrapped up quite nicely.

As it turns out, he has the ability to slip into his past life in the Edo period—as a beautiful, renowned courtesan named Yumurasaki! Seemingly afflicted by Yumurasaki’s fatal illness of the past, Yukari begins to get very sick in the present day… Meanwhile, Mahoro vows to kill Satomi before he can kill Yukari (as she believes he killed Yumurasaki in the past)!
