Whispers

Read # Whispers by Lisa Jackson ✓ eBook or Kindle ePUB. Whispers Bodice ripper disguised as mystery according to Leslie. It was an average murder mystery cloaking a standard issue pulp romance. The mystery and characters were predictable and juvenile and the romance was awful (pages on end of details likehis throbbing erection strained against his jeans simply strung together into long romance scenes that took up most of the book). The only reason Im giving it two stars instead of one is because it is written with proper grammar and internal consistency

"Bodice ripper disguised as mystery" according to Leslie. It was an average murder mystery cloaking a standard issue pulp romance. The mystery and characters were predictable and juvenile and the romance was awful (pages on end of details like"his throbbing erection strained against his jeans" simply strung together into long romance scenes that took up most of the book). The only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is because it is written with proper grammar and internal consistency (both important to me in books). You may like it better than I did, if that's your sort of book, but I had a difficult time finishing it.. Good story line, but Story itself, was good, which is why I continued reading. However, the consistent overuse of similes, metephores, and cliches made me wince. More detracting to me was the over-arching descriptions of any intimate scenes and heart-throbbing moments the main characters were experiencing, felt like I was reading a dime store romance novel rather than a decent mystery. Unfortunately, this may be my only read of this author.. Kindle Customer said Should secrets remain hidden?. The relationship between Kane, a lowborn, abused bad boy, and the unreachable, well-off Claire follows a familiar path, but the pages practically sizzle when they're together. . As such, it should generate plenty of excitement among her fans, but new readers may be put off by the book's overabundance of sex and violence. Stock secondary characters and predictable family dramas leech away some of the suspense, but Jackson livens up her story with a final, dizzying twist. Sixteen years earlier, his rival's younger son, Harley Taggert, was murdered, and Dutch believes one of his own daughters may have been responsible.
