Campbell combines the perfect facial expressions with everyday dialogue (or the lack of it, when silence is called for). Everything's ultimately physical, with the girls joking about the disgusting state of the school restrooms and characters identifying one another by smell. Do I start by talking about its college setting the the realistic dialogue and character interaction that fills this book? But if I make it sound too true to live-- which it is-- then that would ignore the gothic overtures and horror undertones. Perhaps David Lynch is the best balance:

I was in for a pleasant surprise when I found it funny due to the messages written on the restroom's stalls. In addition, the characters and their reactions were realistic. I never once thought ,"Who would even do or say this?"Even though I enjoyed this, I did have one minor criticism. I found the journal entries hard to read. One look at the girl on the cover, about 30 seconds of flipping through the pages, and I was hooked. I refused to leave the store without it.I wasn't sure if it would be any good, but I was willing to take the chance. The artwork alone was worth it.Once I left the store, I couldn't put it down. I actually ignored the Manga I'd gotten and plowed straight into Wet Moon. I just couldn't put it down.Ross Campbell's illustrations throughout the book are relatively simple, but extremely detailed at the same time. His char. "Brilliantly executed and interesting to read" according to Monkey. The opening of the series, sets out the plot the characters, and covers more teenage just getting into college angst. Wonderfully executed, and in many ways true to life, outsiders often have the hardest time having much to do with society. Overall an very cool book to own and read, with characters that feel real at times (the rumor issue was brilliant, something that happens everywhere and at all places like work, and school), as well as what happens when it is finally your own life to live.The plot is well executed, honestly for an opening of a series (there are now three in the series, all are worth picki
