It has one of the most unusual plots that I have ever encountered. The spanning of time issue, added to the unusual characters, makes this a really unique story line. Author John Chadwell knows how to weave a yarn with all of the right suspense and twists. His characters are believable and he makes the reader care what happens to them. I will certainly follow up with some of the other John Chadwell novels I see listed here. He is an author who. propertwb said Quick, fun read.. I met the author on a hike in Pinnacles National Park. Since I was staying in the area for a while, he suggested I take a motorcycle ride to New Idria, and he told me about his novella. I took the ride and bought the book. The ride was tough but beautiful. The book was a quick, fun read. There were a few too many typos, which bothers me, but I recommend this book whole heartedly.
