There was a chuckle off and on in the story which made the narrative interesting. I may read one more mystery by Robert Parker who is now dead; his novels are now being republished. The story's twists and turns kept you going but it wasn't the most exciting mystery I have read. You may learn more about theater groups, illegal Chinese smuggling and/or east coast towns whose economies have failed and been reborn in a differ.
