Alt-history Roman-Egyptian era. Fred R. Weaver Great alternative history fiction of the Roman-Egyptian era. Strong female lead. Lots of twists and turns. Enjoyed the entire series.. Amazon Customer said it is a fun read and I will continue on with the series. Another hit by Mr. Carpenter although it seems to have lost a little steam (pardon the pun) from the previous novels. Heron seems to be disappearing piece by piece and her body falling apart. I wonder what the author has planned for her next. I keep waiting for Agog to pop up somewhere because I'm sure he is not REALLY dead. Anyway, it is a fun read and I will continue on with the series soon although I seem to be almost caught up with . Good read I have read all seven books an have found them very entertaining well written .I would recommend this series to everyone just buy the set of seven books and save a few bucks
