I really like reading about the experiences veterinarians go through with animals in the course of their day. I've read quite a few (such as James Herriot's "All Creatures Great and Small" series, and others). Unfortunately, Dr. Freyburger talked more about the births of his children, looking for real estate, dealing with his car in a snow storm, other vets he worked with, etc., than actual situ. good choice for budding veterinarian I got this book for my niece for the 15th birthday. A budding vet, she began to read immediately and had to be coaxed to open her other presents. I later saw her reading the book as she was eating her birthday cake and ice cream! The book is interesting and easy to read, with short chapters. Anyone interested in veterinary science on a layman's level would enjoy this book.
