CarlC Hall continues to masterfully develop the character of homicide detective Lou Norton. The two previous novels were very good, but this one surpasses them by a great deal. As far as the plot is concerned, Hall throws enough red herrings to keep you in suspense as to the identity of the killer until the very end.
