A Great Addition To Your Out of the Box Learning This is a great book for those kids that are not text book students. My daughter is home schooled and is not a fan of school IF we whip out text books. When I brought out this one and showed her the pages she decided she would give it a try. She liked it immediately as it was not structured and forcing her to think like most text books do. I also like this book for that reason. This book teaches kids to think outside the box and to use their own skills to complete tasks. I love that there are more then just your basic skills here too Helen Keller Joyner Kersee, Allowance Skills, What is On Your Plate and so . A+ book for summer learning or homeschool JLeo My 7 year old son is entering 2nd grade and we both love this workbook. I think some of the math is tricky for a 1st grader. He is below grade level in reading/writing so this book is a stretch in some places but the hands on work keeps him engaged. He followed the directions to make a solar oven (by himself) and made toast! A+ book!!!. Great buy - and really fosters creativity Great buy - and really fosters creativity! Got 2 for 2 grandchildren entering 1st grade - saw it later at Sam's Club, but Amazon was cheaper!
