Moving back and forth between the present day and Elizabethan England, the "history" in the book creates a rich and imaginative context for a murder mystery. At the heart of this story is a sonnet steeped in wordplay that holds the clues to an age-old secret - and it all makes for a thrilling and very enjoyable read.
