DESCRIPTION:
"Good way to learn ABC's" according to Pat in Syracuse. My grandson loves it! The Rainbow Fish does not give away all of her scales in this book (if you object to that aspect of the original Rainbow Fish book).. Nice counting book silky69 This is a fun little counting book to learn numbers. The previous reviewer indicated it was for the alphabet, but it is for numbers. You learn colors and numbers by counting different colored fish scales or other objects in the sea that rainbow fish sees. The glittery scales add interest to the pages. Nice book, but nothing terribly outstanding, but then of course, how could a number counting book be that original? That is onl. pretty but not worth it Lesley Parish this book is cute but getting it from the library would be better it just has the letters under the water no real story.
Everyone’s favorite fish invites youngsters along with him on a glittering undersea lesson in the alphabet. Rainbow Fish swims along the ocean floor-over, under, around, and through bright, bold letters-offering children a colorful and entertaining introduction to the basic building blocks of learning.
From Publishers Weekly Fans of Marcus Pfister's Rainbow Fish will welcome Rainbow Fish A,B,C, in which the fellow invites youngsters to his underwater school: "Come for a swim in the deep blue sea,/ and learn the alphabet with me!" Throughout, large alphabet letters float across otherwise wordless spreads, in order, until youngsters reach Z: "Now you've learned your ABCs./ You're as clever as can be." Rainbow Fish 1,2,3 encourages more interaction, as the hero asks children to count his different colored scales ("How many yellow scales does Rainbow Fish have?") and various sea creatures on each page.
