The story was well written in a classic fantasy style but it didn't make me laugh or cry or anything to tug at my emotions. Still it was an epic adventure and I am not displeased, even though I spent $20 on both volumes. It does deserve high marks because it is intricate and creative but I didn't love it, though I liked it. Likely won't reread.. ."4.25-4.5 stars Kindle Customer Arbitrary number I know. I had high hopes but this gets old about 8 chapters in, its literally the same thing over and over and over.. "Good, but could have been better" according to Amazon Customer. If you love fantasy/magical stories, you will probably like this one. My biggest issue was there was just so much sex, like every chapter practically. I liked the plot, but the excessive sex scenes were almost distracting, and while some added to the plot, many didn't.
