The Path of the Storm by james Maxwell Of the three out of four books in the Evermen Saga that I have read, by James Maxwell, I think that this one was the most interesting. While it does cover some additional wars it also introduces new lands of the empire complete with romantic excursions by some of the characters who you hoped would get together, finally. I think that there is a delicate balance between trying to maintain a mythical past from antiquity and present day conveniences. There were times when the author almost alluded to contemporary devices for communication that were not thought of even in a mythical world, and it bothered me somewhat. I am sure from . Martha Speller said Keeps you on the edge of your seat!!. This next chapter in this series starts you right out with a end of your seat grabber. And frankly I don't believe it lets you go through the rest of the book. I barely wanted to put it down. The growth of some characters was right where it should be but the people yeaah you just want to kick them in the but after all they just went through. But people will be people, all it takes is a few and the rest follows blindly. There really isn't anything I can say negative about the story line. I didn't even feel any part of it drag down all of the information was needed. And I do not wish to spell it out for I have no wish to spoil the s. Somewhat disjointed but enjoyable book As with other series of books I have read, this final book isn't as well written as the first or second. Enjoyed the book. Just was more difficult to navigate through in sense that the plot seemed disjointed at times. The ending was difficult to place as part of the original plot. The character Ella was a refreshing main stay throughout all three books. The characters didn't seem to flow together as well in this book. And didn't like that Ella's relationship with the men in her life was conflicted. Think the relationship between Ella and Milo could have been better connected. Overall though, thought the themes were interesting.
