This book is NOT a how to guide it is a selection of definitions and terms for concepts used in foundry operations. I am a home foundry hobby operator (aluminum, brass and bronze) it has opened my vocabulary and understanding of term and applications of concepts to my operation.If you can understand the language of a hobby your appreciation and understanding of it moves forward and allows you to talk intelligently about it. And communication is important in explaining a problem or applyi. "Much good information, poorly written" according to A Customer. There is a great deal of information presented in this book, though organization is a bit loose. The real problem with it, however, is presentation. it is poorly written, apparently unedited, and badly printed.Some of the definitions offered in the "glossary" are circular, with one definition referring to another, etc.
