However, in most cases I give mysteries three stars to offset my bias against them. In this case, I decided my bias was justified.The story is implausible, the characters are predictable and only moderately interesting and the dialogue is trite. However, the worst part of the book was that the plot was totally predictable. When I read a mystery, I try not to figure out whodunit, because it seems to me that that would take away the principal reason for reading a mystery in the first place. How
