A. Duininck said So very touchinga wonderful love story.. Occasionally there is a story where love is allowed to be noble and pure and so very real. This story is full of the joy that comes when love is so honored and nurtured that it brings out the best.where the characters ache to be the best they can be for the sake of love. I can feel the grin on our hero's face the language is so beautiful and poeticI fell in love too.. This story is a veritable feast of words and emotion painted by the brush of a master artist in use of the written word The author uses such an elaborate and period - appropriate application of language to develop a delicate dance between two strangers. The letter format reveals and reflects thoughts and emotions that would ever remain hidden in the straight laced Victorian society of the period. Characters develop into living, breathing people who grow before the readers eyes. Definitely getting book 2!. "Refreshing" according to Christina. This is a great story. It is well written in a way people don't write books anymore. I love the use of language that challenged my vocabulary. The sentence structure is in keeping with the way people wrote and spoke in the late 1890's. This is a refreshing book in a sea of teenage angst seen everywhere else.
