DESCRIPTION:
Ophelia Reid is an incomparable beauty with a reputation for starting rumors and spreading them. Featuring two enthralling characters from the unforgettable bestseller The Heir, The Devil Who Tamed Her is a spirited new tale about the transforming power of true love. So when MacTavish claims that Ophelia will never be anything but a spiteful beauty, Rafe bets his friend that he can turn her into a kindhearted lady who will one day make a good match, just not with him. There, as he tries to show his furious, sharp-tongued "guest" the error of her ways, he discovers the surprising reasons for her bad behavior. Wondrously romantic,
Some of Lindsey's best recent work K. Hinton Lady Ophelia Reid is, without a doubt, the reigning beauty of the London social scene. She has the face of an angel and the haughty demeanor to back it up--combined these two qualities keep her name on the tip of every London gossip's mouth. She becomes an even bigger topic of conversation when she breaks off her engagement to a brooding Scotsman with a lofty title--twice. With rumors circulating about the cause of the broken engagement, and the realization that her so-called friends are really spiteful and vindictive, Ophelia wants nothing more than to return to London and go back about the business of finding herself a h. Ms Hensley said Great read. Loved the first book. This book continued the story very well. Is a fast read and funny. Good book I have read many times. "Very Good!" according to Cattle Pillar. I really liked this book. I have been a long time Lindsey fan and this one did not disappoint! I didn't LOVE the book about Duncan and Sabrina, but I did like it (perhaps I was just annoyed about Duncan addressing Sabrina as "Brina lass." yuck). This book is better because the characters are well developed. It was probably very difficult for Lindsey to figure out how to redeem Ophelia but she actually did it! Some of the explanations for her previous actions were a little hard to digest and believe, but overall I think JL did a good job of writing the character.
. Lindsey lives in New Hampshire with her family. Johanna Lindsey is world-renowned for her “mastery of historical romance” (Entertainment Weekly), with more than sixty million copies of her novels sold. She is the author of fifty-two previous national bestselling novels, many of which reached the #1 spot on the New York Times bestseller list
In her latest elegantly sensual Regency historical, Lindsey deftly brews up a particularly potent blend of sexy chemistry between her expertly matched hero and heroine while skillfully constructing a neat and witty plot. But Ophelia isn't the only one learning a lesson, when Rafe, who has successfully avoided the matchmaking clutches of the town's most determined mothers, discovers he isn't quite as immune to the idea of love as he thought. At least that is the conclusion Raphael Locke, Viscount Lynnfield, reaches when Ophelia breaks her engagement, again, to his friend Duncan. From Booklist Ophelia Reid may be the most beautiful woman in England, but she is also the most ill-tempered and self-centered. Rafe decides someone needs to teach Ophelia a lesson in manners, and so, after betting Duncan that he can reform the shrewish harridan, Rafe "kidnaps" Ophelia, and takes her, along with his aunt Esmeralda, to his estate in a remote corner of Northumberlan
