Don't Waste Your Money On This One As a farmer wanting to start a grass-fed cattle operation I thought this would be a good choice, but it was not. The author doesn't even have any experience with cattle, which he mentions in his preface. To me this was a bad sign from the beginning. I have read quite a few books on farming and grass-fed cattle, and most of them I enjoy, but this one was not interesting to read at all. It was a struggle to even get through it. However, after several years of actually raising cattle on grass, I find myself referring to Julius Ruechel's "Grass-Fed Cattle: How to Produce and Market Natural Beef" all the time, while I have never referred to this book. Buy Ruechel's book and skip this one.. Common Sence Guy said Garbage.. What a total disappointment! This book covers everything you "should" learn but tells you absolutely nothing. For example, it talks about poisonous plants being "really bad" and that you should research what they are and gives a government website to visit. What a joke!
