Georgette Heyer is one of the delights of my reading life, I wish I had found her long ago, sadly I only came t. Lthomas said Oh the wit. This was my last unread Georgette Heyer. I put it off because A. I wanted to have one more Heyer novel to look forward to and B. I had read reviews saying it wasn't as good as her other novels. IT WAS AMAZING!!! This book is one of my Top 5 novels now and I can't believe I waited so long to read it! My advice- Buy it and enjoy.. Classic Heyer, Jane Austen's natural heir of regencies Elise Curran If you have not read Georgette Heyer, RUN and buy any of her books! She is the next best thing to Jane Austen, and her pacing is faster, so she will suit folks who are used to 21st-century literature. This is one of my favorites, and one of a series of three with the same characters, which is unusual in Heyer's works.
