"Awesome book for speech impairment Improvement" according to Susan Deschensky. This is an awesome book to improve speech impairments. Not only does it give a brief description describing the part of toungue and mouth for each sound, but it also tells how to create the sound.The book gives alot of practice words and sentences focussing on each sound. Great fpr practicing breath support for weak voices also!I would highly recommend this book for ANYONE who suffers from slurred speech or voice impairment like from a stroke, Lyme, MS or other problem that affects the speech sound AND voice!.. "too different from the earlier edition" according to WB. I came across a very early edition of this book and thought it was great, but it was out of print. I thought that this book would be similar but there were major differences. While the earlier edition provided extensive word lists organized around the consonants, this book was organized around vowels. The only word lists that were based on consonants were much shorter in comparison. Although I sent the book back and can't reference it, I seem to remember that they were around 15 to 20 words long.
