Like others said, it's a good book for newbies but This is a good book for newbies but for the technicly enclined individual that can already explain many of the TCP/IP fundimentals and related protocols. It's really kind of a published version of whatis.com or webopedia making it a good refrence manual, but if you already have a clue and are looking for technicly advanced material then invest the money on 1000 pages elsewhere such as certification orientaded books for network+, ccna, or ccnp.. This book is just short of the right thing.
