The book is written in a way so that it is safe enough for an older pre-teen that has had "the talk" and teen to read without being too graphic, yet clear enough on what occurs to ensure they get the message. The author gives you the point of view of both the parent and the child so no matter who the reader is, you can see "your" viewpoint and the "other" viewpoint for a better understandi.
