Skip Langdon is one of my favorite detectives! L. Cooper I had read some of these before -maybe when they first came out in the 1990's but I really enjoyed these so much more as a series.Skip is . the detective who thinks she is "plain" but many others consider her Amazon Amazing She is the heroine and her sidekicks aremany and all good characters. Her family is a pain but she makes her own family.. "Fantastic crime series with New Orleans as one of the characters" according to Kathy. I binge read the 9 books in this series as a way to stay attached to my beloved New Orleans. The bonus was that the stories were great too. I'll miss Skip Langdon in my life. Someone should make a movie of this.. I like them The first story, I was not really into the story line, but I stuck to it and am glad I did. The next stories are in order, an underlying story to keep me intrigued.
