Like Stepping into Another Life! For me, the test of a good autobiography/memoir is how I feel after reading it, and whether the author has become a real person to me. When I finished reading “Send me a Parcel with a Hundred Lovely Things” I not only felt that I knew the author personally, but almost as if I had lived her life! This surely attests to the skilful writing that seems to comes from the heart and resonates with the reader. Small details, like the snippets of childhood memories we retain, are written simply yet so effectively, that the reader can vividly imagine the moment, th
