Beautifully written! Hoping for more MollySue Wow! The English speaking world has been missing out on Andrés Barba! I loved this book with its beautiful, well-crafted writing and its tales of common experiences made extraordinary in the telling. I'm thankful to the friend you introduced me to this amazing writer. He is evidently well known in his native Spain where he has won many awards. I'm hoping we'll see more translations of his books into English. The book is a collection of four novellas all dealing with complex family relationsh. I’m not sure because they’re all great stories. Andres’ Barba has written several books but this is the first one of his to be translated into English. I hope Lisa Dillman is able to translate and bring more of his writing and stories to those of us who don’t speak Spanish. I look forward to reading them.. Oye EEUU - Pay Attention to Andres Barba Tim Welsh The four stories that comprise this gem of a book are terrific. Andres Barba is a new novelist for me. His voice is unique and his characters compelling. Lisa Dillman's translation is masterful. She succeeds in both capturing Barba's voice and connecting with English-language readers. Highly recommended.
