Castle's Back! A Return To Form Returns Me As A Reader Richard Castle is back in print, and back to true form!! I love how these books run on a separate but parallel track to the Castle tv series, with thinly-disguised characters & plot points lifted from the show's various seasons/episodes (and, sometimes groan-inducing Firefly "Easter eggs"). While most of the secondary characters can rightly be seen as just re-named versions of their television selves (like Roach, whom I envision *exactly* as Ryan & Espo), the main characters of these novels are different and compelling enough to interest readers unfamil. "I loved this book" according to Shelby Morgen. I loved this book, and bought the entire series up till now. I'm really disappointed that the publisher has doubled the price on the newest release in the series, though, so I won't be buying book 7. I unapologetically enjoy these tie-in novels Christine Malcom I unapologetically enjoy these tie-in novels, although each time I open them with trepidation, having been burned in other fandoms. Raging Heat shows the series still has legs after closing the central case of Heat/Beckett's career. It also shares the strange distinction of handling developments in the Heat/Rook relationship far more believably than the last 3 episodes of Castle Season 5 and first 3 episodes of Season 6 (Way to go, @WriteRCastle for working through that with zero emotional/practical sense to go on).
