"Five Stars" according to LaShanda. Received book promptly and as described. This is the one I carry every day to work! As a new nurse in the ICU, I was fortunate to have a didactic critical care class. That being said, the information was overwhelming and not broken down into easily digestible nuggets. This book gives you "the down and dirty" of what you need to know when you need to know it as the index and table of contents are accurate and easy to use. Finding info fast that tells me what I need is what this book offers me. I own Kathy White's fast facts as well and know that many ICU nurses love that reference, however this book is what I carry and turn to for information. Everyone where I work that has looked at this book love. "Excellent book for critical care" according to elenawen. This is an excellent book for all critical care nurses. It is succinct and comprehensive at the same time. It explains things easily and lets you know what you need to know regarding issues such as DKA, etc. It even has a section on different drug calculations when hanging a drip (ie dobutamine), etc. A must have reference for every critical care nurse!
