DESCRIPTION:
"Unhelpful." according to Kristopher Keyes. I have been taking physical chemistry this semester with this textbook, and it is no help at all. It breezes over the most important concepts and focuses too much time on concepts that aren't as important. By "important", I mean concepts that need to be understood in order to solve the exercises and problems in the book. For example, it only . C Wozny said It depends on what you are looking for in a text. I'm a college professor and physical chemist with twenty years of teaching experience. This is my first time teaching the PChem sequence; the text was chosen by the previous instructor. My comments reflect and summarize those posted for previous editions, so you may want to read them as well. For depth and thoroughness of the content of physic. With its modern emphasis on the molecular view of physical chemistry, its wealth of contemporary applications, vivid full-color presentation, and dynamic new media tools, the thoroughly revised new edition is again the most modern, most effective full-length textbook available for the physical chemistry classroom. Volume 1 of Physical Chemistry, Ninth Edition, contains the new edition’s new Fundamentals chapters (Chapter 0), plus coverage of thermodynamics (Chapters 1-6) and kinetics (Chapters 20-23)
