These paintings have gritty approachability to them that shows the raw power if nature in appealingly wild works.. A worthwhile addition to your art library Hubies Brother Shows a number of different approaches to skies and seascapes, and can be a useful idea starter for artists. But like many art tutorials, it shows what good paintings look like, but not enough about how they were created. Lots of philosophy from artists, but useful only if you have a good background in painting techniques. Most of what is explained relates only to oils -- little about acrylics. Still, a handsome book, and a good reference.. Very good information I did not think this book would be as informative as it was. I enjoyed it and learned a lot.
