EHC I have four kids, ages 4 -16, one is special needs. I gave this book to my high school student and am working on getting my fourth grader to read it. Eventually I will use the concepts with all my typical kids.My kids are bright but they struggle. ADHD, anxiety and other issues are all a factors and as a mom I frequently feel helpless. I already graduated high school, and graduate school for that matter, I can only do so much and really should I have to keep nagging? What I want for my kiddos is to see the value of education. Own Your Education is a very useful tool, it is an easy to read book with great examples and exercises for students. I think this book is a "must read" for all students to help them realize that they need to take ownership in their education and their life and that results will come of it. Chapter 11 on Effective Planning was particularly helpful for my 4 boys.
