Finally found a Catholic "Total" Bible Commentarybeen looking for one for years until this one was finally suggested to me. I owe that person a debt of gratitude if I can ever trace back to where this advice was given to me. Wish it were available in e format but it is about the size of my printed d. "The New Jerome Biblical Commentary." according to Carm. So far, I find this Biblical Commentary very helpful with the Course I'm studying. It is a wonderful reference book but not one you begin on the first page and read through! It's scholarly and is laid out very satisfactorily.. Complete and Interesting A very interesting and helpful thick book, very complete and easy to use: practical but really encyclopedial (including more peripheral issues: Qumran, Apocrypha, geography, etc), erudite but sufficiently freed from any complication derived from exegetical theories and reconstructions.
