DESCRIPTION:
Provides an introduction to linear quadratic theory beyond the typical chapter on the subject found in texts on optimal or multivariable control. DLC: Feedback control systems.. Provides an analytical approach to the design of multivariable feedback systems
The text includes a generous sampling of practical applications--making it attractive to practicing professionals. While most of the text focuses on the design of analog compensators, the text includes an insightful and comprehensive chapter on the design of digital compensators. From the Publisher A superb introductory text, Linear Quadratic Control covers problems of regulation, disturbance rejection, stochastic control and robust control. . Offering balanced coverage, the book examines linear quadratic control theory as one of the major analytical techniques for the design of multivariable feedback systems
"Excellent introductory book" according to robertExcellent introductory book I bought and read this book when I first became a grad student under Dorato and Abdallah. Since I've now graduated and am employed elsewhere (and thus can't be accused of sucking up), this is an excellent book that should be recommended reading, if not the primary textbook, for all graduate level LQG courses.. 12Excellent introductory book robert3124 I bought and read this book when I first became a grad student under Dorato and Abdallah. A Customer said good enough if you have the basics. a will "briefly" written book which assumes that the reader has the basics of feedback control and matrix algebra. Each chapter has a MATLAB section at the end which shows some important commands (not codes) that are relevant to the chapter's material. Excellent chapter on robstness design.. Very good book to learn LQG This is one of the few books that contains LQG.(Many optimal control classes cover LQG, but there are not many books on the topic)The book covers broad topics on multi-variable control. The book is so compact, so it may not be detail enough to learn the material. It is better for reference.Even though it is brief, this is one of better books on LQG.I tried "Optimal Control: Linear Quadratic Method" by Anderson, and it was just a mess.Dorato's book is much easier to understand that Anderson's book.If you need LQG, I strongly suggest this book.If it is difficult, than supplement wit
