Logistics are the engine of war, but because the movement of troops, ammo, and fuel don't get the average reader's blood moving, it's often overlooked in the literature.This study gets into the details of why logistics remain incredibly important, even with the technological advances of the modern era, and the story is told in a very detailed and interesting way. It's also comprehensive historically, covering the ancient campaigns of Alexan. "A rare book" according to Ole Bjrsvik. Although I agree with the text of each and every previous reviewer, I really think it deserves four full stars. It's not only a rare book about a too little described subject: It is also well enough written to receive four stars.And the chapter about the Falklands War also thought me two lessons:1) To have a plan is not as important as to do Planning in itself.
