Quite good for early readers Jody L. Schoth This is actually quite good, but the pictures are not too attractive of course, I'm a little turned off by bugs in general. My daughter brought this one home from the school library and found it quite easy to read on her own, needing very little help from me. This is a very good book for early readers, as there are few words on each page and they are rather simple. I read this to my daughter first, then she read it back to me and I found she was memorizing it since there is only a sentence on each page, don't read it to the new reader b. "great non-fiction" according to tell-tales Librarian. This series is so well thought out. My students love it for the short but informative text. It is written on a 1st and 2nd grade reading level so it is a perfect non-fiction for 1st grade students. Hard to find that!. Ladybugs Leslie B. Palmieri Colorful and informative, this non fiction book is great for younger students. My kindergartners love looking at the pictures and counting the ladybug spots.
Describes the physical characteristics, behavior, and habits of ladybugs.
