Disappointing There was a time I would wait excitedly anticipating a Rachel Gibson new release then stay up all night reading it.Just kiss me is another miss for the author. A cute short story that lacks warmth, character development and story depth.Read the first 5 books written by this author, and forget this one.. krissy said Just Okay. Like other reviewers, I too wonder what happened to the Rachel Gibson of old. I can't put a finger on what exactly the missing element is in her latest books, I can only say the characters are very lackluster and underdeveloped. But why is that? The books are all about the same length, so it isn't that she didn't have enough time. She used to be able to create rich, fully fleshed out characters that we could all relate to emotionally.
