She'd been missing three months when her roommate finally reported her missing. In the investigation Mateo had to go to California. His old friend and wife Andrea lived there, as did the love of his life Frankie Andrea was Frankie's overprotective older sister. They met for lunch at Burger King and in a short while they started their friendship again. Two very scare. "Loved it" according to Kindle Customer. The racism was hard to deal with, this is 2016. The way Frankie was treated at the bar because she was black hurt, I could feel her pain. Mateo because he was Cuban was treated differently by his foster parents. We all bleed red. Mrs. Lawson-Brown is on my favorite authors list. Fantastic story a lot of twist and turns. Glad Mateo learned to love and to trust. This book had murder,incest, drug abuse, attempted kidnapping, hit and run. Most of all the love Mateo and Frankie had for each oth. "I am so glad a finally finished this book" according to ahollis. I am so glad a finally finished this book.I won't say that this was a bad read it just wasn't all that goodsince this is just the second book I've read by this author I'll DEFINITELY try another one because I really LOVED the first one but this one just didn't appeal to medidn't really care for Mateo or FrankieThe missing part was not that much of real thingjust an okay read.
