Amanda said Just ok. Just an ok guide. If you have a good FIA and support from your school during the internship process you don't really need this.. "Great help for navigating the internship process" according to K. Wright. I bought this book to help me prepare for my pre-doctoral internship in psychology and found it to be quite useful. It covers a wide range of topics including how to decide which sites are a good fit for you, filling out the AAPI applications, tips and examples for the essays and cover letters, interview suggestions and sample questions, and general info about the mat. "A little outdated in its particulars, but quite helpful" according to Amazon Customer. I am generally pretty skeptical of books like this, but I bought it for help in writing the standard APAGS essays. The advice in the book helped me to polish my essays to an extent that my very fussy advisor made only minimal suggestions to my drafts. My main complaint is that the book has not been updated to reflect the online APPI submission process.
