DESCRIPTION:

Each book offers a visual time line along the bottom of each two-page spread. In Frog, terms such as spawn and hibernate are introduced, clear definitions are provided, and some of the predators frogs may encounter are discussed. The texts are clear and simple with two sentences per page. From School Library JournalGr 1-3--In Bean, full-color photographs clearly show the formation of a root, stem, and shoot, as well as leaves and flowers. Pollination is also discussed briefly. Excellent visuals and easy-to-read formats make both titles accessible to beginning readers.Katherine Borchert, Arlington Central Library, VACopyright 1998 Cahners Business Information, Inc.

"Fun book for your froggy kids" according to Mom to Fun book for your froggy kids My 3 1/2 year old daughter enjoys everything about bugs, turtles, frogs, etc. so this is a great book for her. Nice color pictures with good explanation of the life cycle of a frog. Only disappointment was I expected the "library binding" I purchased to be hardcover (like at the library!), but it was just a paperback. A hardcover would have been better as it opens flat and lasts much longer.. girls.
