Lots to learn from this enjoyable book I was looking for a book with Indian/Asian look and feel for our 6 month old baby boy when I found this book. Needless to say, it immediately caught his attention as did the tape that comes along with it. Story telling, songs and teaching numbers, colours are well balanced along with adding a moral to the story. The audio tape helps to indentify the concepts related in the b. "Great but a little stretched out" according to Rao. All of Karadi tales junior are great but I wish they were not stretched out as long. These are simple stories and should have been made short and sweet

This version is based on the Jataka classic (stories of the Buddha), which precedes Aesop. One of the publisher's stated goals is to introduce concepts within the stories; however, whenever concepts such as numbers are brought up, the connections to the tales are forced.
