DESCRIPTION:

Charles McDowell is retired and lives in rural Virginia.

What the dying person has to say reveals much about what kind of person they were. Through the eons, Azrael -- the Angel of Death -- has attended each person's final moment. Through their questions and pleas they reveal their humility (or lack thereof ), whether they were honorable, and how many people will miss them. Final Moments is a collection of thirteen conversations with Azrael. These people came from all walks of life, and all have died. Death comes to all of us, each in our own time, but no one dies alone: A messenger comes to usher your soul to the other side. Although Azrael knows what happens on the other side, he can't share that information with them--but many wouldn't want to know anyway. By reading their stories perhaps you will be better prepared when Azrael comes for you.

About the AuthorCharles McDowell is retired and lives in rural Virginia.

Powerful message Lynn R “Final Moments” is an outstanding read. Even though the book is small in volume (136 pages) the message is HUGE. The author paints a very vivid description of the thirteen conversations between the Angel of Death and the deceased. In fact, the conversations are so detailed the reader will wonder where the author received his inspiration. This book is very “relatable” and every reader will be able to find something or some person they can identify with even though the book is fiction. The “Final Moments” questions asked by the nearly departed are really thought provoking. This. Though provoking, must read fictional account of the last moments of life. One of the most provocative books I have read. The author weaves powerful life lessons into each story. I found myself reflecting on how you live your life impacts those around you. The book helps you understand the important things in life are integrity and making every day count. I also believe the book's approach could easily translate into some type of TV opportunity. The author is very talented and his approach to each story was genius.. My favorite was the young boy I’m not a religious scholar. I thought the stories were interesting and as a Roman Catholic I wondered whether these Final Moments could represent Purgatory as a way to help expiate our sins. My favorite was the young boy, and his specific concerns for others.
