DESCRIPTION:
Some basics, but very dated Fundamentals are covered but the book is really dated It is in desperate need of a thorough revision & update. This was one of my textbooks for a class in an educational technology leadership master's program, and I was quite surprised at how out of date it is.. Education and technology C. Taylor I needed this book for class. It is very helpful and I will be keeping it as a reference book.. Emily Heltzel said Awesome content!. This book gives a great overview of the background of lesson plans. I never realized before the reasoning behind the parts of a lesson plan. I would recommend this for anyone looking to know more about lesson plans.
The book is unique in the way it covers applications of technology and other media within a basic planning, implementation, and evaluation (PIE) framework.. The Fourth Edition of Educational Technology for Teaching and Learning introduces current and future teachers to the approaches, methods, and procedures for integrating computers and other media into the curriculum using a systematic instructional design approach. This concise book provides the basics for becoming a knowledgeable educator in the 21st century: understanding the foundations of learning and technology and planning technology/media-supported learning experiences, integrating technology and media meaningfully into the curriculum, and ensuring the success of technology/media-supported lessons
