Anyone who isn't sure exactly what they want in a garden, but leans toward an informal style, will enjoy flipping through the book for ideas. Also, the garden plans are nicely done. The book is well written, but it is hard to write yet another book on cottage style gardens and come up with much new and ex. "Not worth your money." according to Amazon Customer. I had great hopes for this book; I have other books from Country Living that are fantastic. This book, however, is a strange one. It's from an English point of view, which is fine, but not when you're expecting the American viewpoint. Most of the pictures are of gardens in foreign countries. I was expecting quaint country gardens in New England and the South, like what you'd see in Country Living magazine.The premise of the book is downright odd--he goes .
