Amazon Customer said Not great, very expensive as a new edition.. I did not feel that this book was designed in a reader friendly format. Chapters were poorly delineated and organization did not always make sense to me. It was/is a VERY expensive book when buying a new edition. The book is boring and most of the resources found in this book can be found in more user friendly format on the internet. I did not find the two editions I own to be much different from each other. I am glad that i di. Dense Bought for an education class. Definitely not worth reading. It's a dense book, lacks structure, and doesn't seem to give practical tips. Instead, I'd suggest 50 strategies for content area literacy. It's more practical (especially for me, a high school math teacher) and, not to mention, MUCH more inexpensive.. Great ideas Daisy This book is filled with wonderful ways and ideas on how to improve literacy in your students. I just wish a book about improving literacy had more variety in writing style to reach a larger reading audience.
