Hands down, one of the best books I have read in a while. Hands down, one of the best books I have read in a while. I don't usually like New Adult books so when I decided to review Bound to Fate I was already on guard. Turns out there was no reason to be.The Heroine, Lara Johnson, is timid in the beginning. She's a bit naive. She's damaged, having lost both of her parents, forcing her and her younger sister, Lola, into the custody of their Aunt. She's also only seventeen wh. "Very Dark, Write About More Strong Women Please!" according to Amazon Customer. This author writes well however, her books are more on the dark side and this aspect is not entertaining to me. The horrible things that happened to the female lead in this book are something I wished I was warned about before reading it. Unless I missed something there was no disclaimer. First of all these are not unique scenarios unfortunately, I have grown quite weary of reading books where the women are assaulted. What a great read! Such innocence that turn into devastation Lara is starting over with her sister. After their parents death they moved to their aunts in a new city. Her first day at a new school is terrifying to her and when she meets her teacher, she can't believe how gorgeous, and young, he is.Ike Thomas is working on a year internship at a high school as a geography teacher.
