DESCRIPTION:
To the devil a daughter!Parenthood can come as a shock to some. Clovenhoof quickly finds that being a single parent involves more than lullabies and nappies and has to contend with social disapproval, paternity tests and, possibly, the end of the world. The fifth novel in the Clovenhoof series, Beelzebelle is an anarchic adventure, featuring a psychotic monkey au pair, runaway coffins, badly stuffed animals, strip dominoes, fire-breathing ferrets, pimped-up prams, well-meaning middle-class mums, apocalyptic floods, the largest act of public nudity Birmingham has ever seen and way too much homebrew Lambrini.. It’s especially shocking if you are Satan, the Prince of Hell, and are trying to live a quiet life of semi-retirement in suburban England under the name of Jeremy Clovenhoof
"Laugh out loud funny" according to MRB. This series gets better with each book. I hope number 5 was not the last one we will see in this series. The characters continue to evolve, even Clovenhoof himself.Every character brings their own wit and you never know when you will burst out laughing. These books are a great escape from reality and do not take themselves too seriously, especially when dealing with the heaven and hell issue.I hope we see more of these characters in the future.. "So fun!" according to j. martin. I just love the Clovenhoof books. They are so funny and irreverent. Jeremy is always surprising and seeing him pitted against the leader of a mega church and coming out as the good guy was interesting. Also liked that Michael is growing as a (new) person.. Fantastic! Alex Firestine I absolutely loved the entire Clovenhoof series, by far the most entertaining books I've ever read. Thank you so much for writing these books and providing me with such wonderful reading material, I will be eagerly awaiting your next book!
