DESCRIPTION:
Doina said Super Informative. This is one of the best books I've read. It contains information about everything from what to eat to the different vibrations that you need to become balanced. It includes information about astrology that is easy reading. It made me say "oh, now I get it"! I've used the information from the book in the classroom and for myself personally. It is one of the few books that I rarely lend. I highly recommed it for any age group.. Jeannine Parvati Baker said These Wheels Spin!. There is no end to new age rhetoric. Metaphysics come and go like fashions for the forebrain. So it is with relief that Maruti Seidman makes sense of the subtle body in this accessible book. I ought to know -- I was his midwife for the birth of his first baby in 1980 or so. He was grounded even then and this book brings out my jubilant heart to this day!. A Must Have! I have taken quite a few classes with Maruti, this book is to replace one that I actually wore out. He knows his stuff and he makes this all so easy to understand! I cannot recommend this book enough!
The first section begins with a lesson on Kundalini energy and describes the chakras through colors, sounds, foods, and the elements. The third section identifies symptoms of imbalance and techniques for self-healing.. The balance or imbalance of these vortices affects a person's health, as well as his or her emotional and spiritual well-being and evolution. The second section presents holistic methods used for balancing: herbs, homeopathy, aromatherapy, astrology, polarity, bodywork, color therapy, sound therapy, proper diet and nutrition, yoga, affirmations, flower essences, and pranayama. The chakras are a series of seven energy fields or centers of consciousness in the body which harbor latent divine energy known as Kundalini energy
