What a charming book! Lori Shepherd learned that a woman she thought of as a fictional character was real, had passed away, and had left her a cottage in England. She only knew that "Aunt Dimity" was the supposed author of stories her mother had told her when she was a little girl. Her mother had also passed away and Lori felt very alone in the world, and guilty because she had not been at her mother's side when she died. Her aunt's attorney tracked her down and informed her of her inheritance and she has a chance to solve the my. "Find out about Derek and Emma!" according to Kati Runkle. I've been on an Aunt Dimity kick. I have read the books out of order but have enjoyed the vast majority of them. This is a great addition to the series as it doesn't have Lori or Bill. This book shares the story of Emma and Derek and how they came together. It's great to see the peripheral characters fleshed out more.
