Garage Band '09 Good book. Well written and easy to read. The examples and exercises are great for someone wanting to learn how to use Garage Band to record their own music with. The first few chapters were a little slow and painful (how to learn guitar and piano) but I think they are good material for the right audience.,. Basic but adequate for starter I decided on the Kindle version so I could save paper and read on the Kindle Ipad app. Though the illustrations show up on the Kindle, obviously the colour screen on the Ipad is far superior and I had it propped up next to the computer as I worked my way through it. The books works fine as an intro to Garageband and I expect I will use it infrequently as a reference. The downloadable lessons make the learning process quite straightforward.. AS ADVERTISED AND ON TIME GREAT VALUE What's not to love; I read the reviews and determined that this was the book that had the info I needed. The sticker price for a new copy was way steep, and I couldn't download it 'cause it comes with a CD that contains all the backup material to support the practical lesson tutorials humm Buying a used volume that includes a CD can be dicey. Sometimes it's missing, or maybe scratched or damaged Surveying the used offerings for this title, I stumbled on a copy described as "very clean with unopened accompanying CD," BAM!
