New Cover- Old content Rikelle Brande I hate to say it but I am little disappointed by this book. The quality of the artwork and projects are fantastic - if I hadn't already seen them. Every project is from other North Light publications, that I already own, the photography and content is the same. I wish I had known that. If you don't own many North Light Books on mixed media such as "A Flavor for Mixed Media" then this would be a great sampler and i would highly . Four Stars Good for inspiration and intuitive painting. Vanessa Hooper said More of a self-help book than a mixed media teaching tool. I was looking for either a mixed media technique teaching tool, or an idea book for this medium. What I got was chapters called, "Make the Most of Your Creative Energy," and headings telling me to make time for yoga and exercise. This makes the subtitle, "Inspiration, Techniques & Projects for Painting, Collage & More", very misleading. I needed instructions on mixed media techniques, and examples of projects that I could try.
