A Book that Applies Attachment Theories to Marriage Relationships The attachment theory primarily describes the experiences children have with their caregiver and how those experiences inform their life decisions. I was interested in how the author had applied this theory to couple relationships. The author is very methodical in explaining his clinical approach and the methods he used. I found this aspect a little boring since I am not a clinician however, I found a lot of useful information throughout the text. The author defines four types of attachments: secure, preoccupied, fearful and dismissing.. ok Lourdes Hernandez It's kind of boring read. I kept falling asleep as I read it. The information is useful, but it's very dry writing. I probably wouldn't purchase it again.
